The organs of the Association are the General Meeting, the Committee and the Secretariat.
The General Meeting consists of all members of the association. It meets at least once a year in June in Brussels unless a special meeting is convene by the ECC Committee or/and General Meeting. The General meeting determines the policies and activities of ECC.
Each category A member has one vote. All category B members together have the same number of votes as the category A members together, plus one. To calculate the number of votes per category B member, the total number of votes granted to all category B members together, will be divided by the number of category B members. The category C members can attend the General Meetings, ask questions and express their opinion, but have no voting power. The vote is always transparent.
The Committee is the executive body of the Association. It determines the general policy and approves the activities of the Association in line with its object, purpose and mission as defined in the present articles of association, and has the broadest competence to perform all acts that are necessary or useful for the realisation of the Association’s object, purpose and mission, with the exception of those reserved to the General Meeting by the Law or the present articles of association.
The Committee is composed of representatives of the category A members and category B members of the Association (the members of the Committee) . Each category A member and each category B member is entitle to appoint one representative at the Committee.
Each representative of a category A member shall have one vote. All representatives of the category B members together will have the same number of votes as the representatives of the category A members together, plus one. To calculate the number of votes per representative of the category B members, the total number of votes granted to all representatives of the category B members together, will be divided by the number of representatives of category B members. The vote is always transparent.
The members of the Committee are not remunerated, and are appointed as from the confirmation of their appointment by the General Meeting, for a renewable period of three years. Any appointments and resignations shall be published as soon as possible after the decision taken by the General Meeting to this end by the Secretariat in the Annexes to the Belgian Official Journal.
The Committee is assisted by a Secretariat, represented by a Secretary General. The SG is neutral to the specific interests of the members of the Association, and only takes into account the interests of the Association as a whole. The SG is in charge of the the general organisation and daily management of the Association and its activities.
